Sooo Laken had her First dance recital. I was a little worried when I turn around while we were driving to the rehersal for all of five minutes to this...911!
But, she perked right up thank the maker.

She was a little humiliated the way Track behaved she told me after...
And show time

Okay so I didn't secure the antlers good enough I'm a first time dance recitalist mother what do you expect! This was in dress rehersal anyway I super glued them to her head for the real deal.

It was right after this that she said "mom, I just love the stage!" I do not lie.
We were so the classic first time "my child is in a production other then the primary presentation and we are going to document every-last-morsel of it" parents. Matthew had the camera and I had Track on my hip and the video camera in the other hand and together we ducked back and forth past the stage snapping away and zooming in and out as if she was on broadway. I don't regret it we got good footage/pictures mission accomplished.
After the show we decided to celebrate with dinner and a movie
The pizza was sort of pricey but anything for our little star.
Track ate so much he had to lay down a while
This is the side of show biz they don't show you. All that glitz and glam leads to THIS the next morning. I let out an involuntary gasp when Laken crawled in our bed Saturday morning with mascara smeared under her eyes. Sick and Wrong.

So my FamDamily came to stay and I'm not going to lie we're not that good at taking pictures. Jacklyn made sure that I was Very aware of that the other day and I thank her for that. So it's all a little random with not a lot of rhyme or reason but it's better then nothing. The biggest tragedy is that I had 1 One picture of Aspen! That baby is nothing but pure pure heaven with the most beautiful face to ever be born I tell you!











The only thing I can say (because I don't feel like commenting on all of them) is that 4 kids is CCCCCRAZY!!! Every store we went to was a complete gong show, entertaining/humiliating! Either Beckham was attacking Track, Track was smothering Aspen with "kisses" or Laken was tattling on someone the entire time! We pretty much gave up about the second day and let everyone fend for themselves and relished in the caos. We did however get a fair amount of shopping accomplished seeing how Tatum and my mom both bought two extra bags just to be able to take all the stuff they bought home. Anywho I really don't know why I'm trying to smash this all into one post but just go with it.
Matthew said it would probably take an hour to set up the tree..this picture was probably taken about hour 3 but hey, who's counting?
Give Laken a prop of any kind and she'll find a way to work it

Not quite finished, still needed a tree skirt among other things but I'm kind of over it..is that bad?!?
Here's a small non-fictional story. Once there was a little girl named Laken who agonized for an entire week if she was going to sit on Santa's lap at the Christmas party. When she arrived, things were looking hopeful. All her cute friends with there ready and waiting to tell Santa their deepest desires

The line continued to move and things were still looking good....
She actually shoved poor Charlie in front of her the last second but definitely still had her composure
Then cutie pie Matthew decided to shove Track in there quick who had NOT agonized all week because he was quite certain he did NOT want to sit on Santa's lap (Matthew didn't get that memo)
And, it was over. Panic, tears,a small amount of hyperventilating led us to this point
And this is a few minutes later when she was begging Track to leave with her. Hey, I didn't say this story had a happy ending although she did mention maybe she would try the Santa at the mall. So I guess this story is not over, stay tuned for chapter two....
